Ontzorgd started with the ambition to address the frustrations and increasing problems in mental health care and the belief that artificial intelligence can offer a solution for that. 40% of your time goes to administration, 100,000 patients waiting for care and an increasing pressure on therapists: we believe that things can be done differently, and should be done differently!
Ontzorgt believes in a world where we make optimal use of data for everyone's health. The Ontzorg platform supports healthcare professionals in making reports, writing letters and preparing research reports. But our ambition goes further: We are developing a platform that supports healthcare professionals not only with administration but also with diagnostics and treatment. We are developing a platform that supports the mental health professional to quickly form a fuller picture. We do this by providing relevant analysing client information and combining it with the latest literature and guidelines. In this way, the professional not only saves valuable time, but the therapist can help the patient even better.

Ontzorgd was founded by Sander van Leeuwen and Binke Kisjes, two childhood friends. The idea came about in a conversation between Binke and his parents, both working in healthcare. The question arose: “Shouldn't it be much more fun and easier?” That's when Binke and Sander joined forces to build a dream: improving the quality and accessibility of healthcare with the help of AI.
